My God stop whining! It's just a fucking award, it shouldn't stop you're enjoyment from other games. It is also a vote based system, so you shouldn't be surprised that the FREE game, that had a huge cultural impact on the internet; which granted access to more kids teens and adults, since it is literally in almost every platform imaginable won GOTY. It is also an inherently fun game, it may not be a great game, but it's the most fun I've had with my freinds with something that has costed us nothing. I may not like it as much as RDR2 GOW or LOZ: BOtW. But from a free game that isn't pay to win or freemium, I can't ask for much more than what fortnite offers. Plus they keep putting work into it, with new updates almost every week to keep it fresh. People enjoy it, get over it.

Fortnite change the whole fucking industry. Everybody tried to copy them, they have huge player base. It's free and people enjoy playing it. God of war was great but it didnt brought revolution i would say as many people didn't even got chance to play it.

The gameplay it's good. You can't say it's not because it is. It improved on PUBG. It's made to appeal to kids. Oh and if it appeals to kids you have to hate it because you're smarter than them and you just have to show how high your IQ is by hating it. It's also available on more platforms than RDR2 or GoW. All this makes it the obvious candidate for this reward
